In the framework of Tyre Mare Nostrum transnational meeting, the municipality of Tyre organized the Round Table “Touristic Strategies” moderated by Georges Zouain.
This round table is related to the development of local policies and plans for touristic development in Tyre, and synergic to Mare Nostrum transnational activities of WP5 for “Sustainable tourism and Cultural Heritage”.
Key papers of the round had been:
- Presentation by DiCR of a base line dossier about the international framework of sustainable tourism and about performed transnational EU projects on heritage. (You can download these reports from the web-site www.eh4-marenostrum.net ).
- Presentation by Rhodes and Aegean University of the Mare Nostrum WP5 action plan, including activities that will start performing after the Tyre meeting.
- Presentation of the CHUD Cultural Heritage and Urban Development plan and realisations in Tyre.
At the end of the round table Georges Zouain, Hassan Dbouk Mayor of Tyre and Carlo Alberto Garzonio Mare Nostrum lead partner met the press.
