Outcomes

  • Design new tourist itineraries along the Mediterranean port-cities sites of the Phoenician ring-thread within a Sustainable Tourism Plan. 1800 handbooks will be printed.
  • Promotion of new tourist itineraries to tourist agencies. 180 tour agencies and tourist companies will be involved in the promotion . 30 local Public administrations will be involved in the action. "Virtual tour and visits" web page within Mare Nostrum website.
  • Train the trainers. The training modules will contain a common section for all the action’s countries for the promotion of the common tangible and intangible heritage within the Mediterranean basin of “MARE NOSTRUM” and a specific section for the promotion of the new tourist itineraries heritage trail of each action’s country. A total of about 100 guides and tour operators will be trained. “Questionnaires of satisfaction” and “register of presence” will be some of the indicator tools used to monitor the activity.
  • The value of handicraft. 12 outdoor exhibitions showing placards on traditional local handicraft and live art. A total of about 30 handicraft/live-art products. Dealing with the Plagues on traditional craft shops.
  • Roundtable with local stakeholders. A total of about 10-15 stakeholders/per roundtable is expected to be joining. 3 meetings are expected to be organised in every partner and associated partner’ countries of the action.
